I didn't remember that. "Why would you? It was well before we properly got to know each other. Anyway, I smacked her until she apologized, and that was that." Well, that was about the most Reimu-like thing she could have done. But wait, how had she gotten so drunk if it was a festival at the Shrine? "Oh, there was a massive surplus of alcohol from the last party here. Some - Actually, a lot - was the strong stuff. Anyway, we're getting really off topic." We really were, but my point still stood. I thought that Lady Tamatsukuri wasn't going to do anything bad, and Reimu thought that she was.

There was a boom in the distance. "Wow, they're starting early today." Reimu muttered, squinting into the distance. The sun was just starting to come up, the brilliant light of day just barely starting to crest over the horizon. The sound had come from near the mountain, so I already had an idea of what it was most likely to be. The kappa and yamawaro's war, still going on. "I think they've started to forget what they're actually fighting about." Reimu remarked, examining the thick mittens she was wearing. They were red and white, and I thought they looked quite cute. "I went over there the other day, just to make sure that the whole thing wasn't threatening to turn into a full-scale incident, and both sides swore that they were keeping it under control, but got a bit cagey when I asked what exactly they were fighting about. I think it was probably just some disagreement about some technology thing which got out of hand." I agreed, but the fight had been going on for a long while to be just about that. "I guess it escalate..." She trailed off, so I turned to look at her. "And then, it changed." She told me, staring at me very pointedly. I could only respond with a very blank look. "Then, Marisa got captured, or whatever. Maybe she just thought it would be fun. And off Tenshi went to join the opposite side."

I asked Reimu what she was getting at. "Then, they somehow both became high-ranking members." I was starting to reach my limit for things I understood. "I barely understand myself, I'm just repeating what they told me. But - The point is, I think Marisa and Tenshi are running more of the show than we think." ...So? I really didn't get where she was going with this. Reimu frowned at me for a moment, then moaned and pressed her mittens against her forehead as she leaned back against the torii gate. "Ugh...I think they're fighting now because Marisa wants to know who you're seeing, and Tenshi won't let her." My very blank look became a very blank stare. Then I told her that she'd just said about the most far-fetched thing that I'd ever heard. "I know!" She answered, exasperated. "But that's what the Kappa and the Yamawaro I spoke to told me!" She looked very annoyed. "Honestly - We only didn't tell her as a joke! She just so happened to miss out because she was all hopped up on mushrooms or potions or whatever, and then it just seemed funny!" I definitely remembered. She'd shown up barely coherent and Reimu had to take her outside to get her sorted. "So...I think that's where we are now. Maybe it's just a rumour those lot are spreading and neither Marisa nor Tenshi think that, but..."

Reimu and I stood there, watching the mountain as the sky began to lighten. the Sun had yet to make an appearance, but it couldn't be far off. What were we supposed to do about it? "We...Reveal it?" I imagined that Yamame wouldn't mind all that much. "Well - Actually, you're planning to marry her anyway. Big wedding ceremony?" I...supposed so? I hadn't even gotten to the rings yet. "About that. You know how it works, right? Engagement ring, wedding rings, ceremonies, the biggest party you've ever thrown in your life, all that stuff?" I did have some idea. I might have repressed half my life and had an extreme lack of certain life lessons, but I wasn't completely clueless. I'd seen married couples before. "Yeah, well...I think you've got an advantage. Not many in the village have much hope of a really nigh quality ring like you might get from Kisami." I smiled a little. Reimu seemed to have quite a bit of faith in Kisami, considering she'd only met her the previous day. "What? Well - She's quite...What are you implying?" Reimu asked me sharply, frowning at me. I was just happy to see that Reimu's old hatred of Yamame hadn't resurfaced with Kisami. "Shut up!" Reimu smacked me with her mittens. "Look, I got over it. She's Yamame's older sister, and I'm your older sister. Plus, watching her embarrass the two of you is fun. I should do it more often." That, I sternly told Reimu, was not to happen. Still, at least Reimu and Kisami were getting along.
