Yes and No. I played earnestly at first, sucked complete balls, and kept trying to clear the game intermittently (while trying my hand at the others: I posted my first 1cc of 10D on replays as well). While I would get slightly further in UFO on consequent attempts, I was still not good enough to clear the game using continues, far less to 1cc. Even for my first UFO clear, I could only do it by red UFO hoarding (and then green on stage 6).

I was even worse at EoSD (Stage 4&5 was my "...and here's where it goes down the crapper" stages) until I literally started studying my own stage practices. I felt joyous when I 1cc'd EoSD as it was my first clear of any Touhou game.

From all of my combined attempts at UFO, I have captured (not in one run or with one particular character mind you) all spell cards on normal with the exception of all of Byakurens' at least once (I was surprised when I captured Shous' green laser spell card by fluke with Sanae A). I just have to keep practicing and keep it together in one run, but first I'll have to practice on stage's 4-6 to perfect them.

If I can NoDeath-No Bomb consistently, then I can ignore red/green UFOs and only go for blue UFOs.

As for Lunatic I still know I have a long way to go for that.
