The fact that a fic ends with "and they got married and all lived happily ever after" doesn't erase the fact that all the actual text of the fic was about meeting a new girl and getting raped.
Claiming that a relationship being established at the end of an MGE fic proves the audience wants to read married life monogamy is like claiming The Lord Of The Rings proves an audience likes to read about Samwise Gamgee living out his days peacefully in the Shire with Rosie. The actual content of the book is the opposite of living peacefully in the Shire.
