This part of the script has wholly independent IF statements for Lover and Love instead of the expected ELSEIF, so it ends up triggering both dialogues at Lover.

You can grind intimacy pretty easily on dates, just by spamming skinship and headpats. It'll still take a couple days, but you can spam-click you way through it pretty easily. It's even possible to avoid the first kiss event by continuing until the game automatically sends you home, since that bypasses all the post-date events.
