That's not true. According to the bible, when you die as a wicked or faithless man, you remain dead and don't feel anything. But if you were good, your disembodied spirit goes to Heaven and stays there until the Day of Judgement.

When the time of Revelations comes and Jesus destroys Satan in the final battle, all the dead throughout history are revived with immortal bodies and sent to Heaven. Then you spend 1000 years in Heaven, while God judges every single person that ever lived and angels throw the wicked from Heaven into the lake of fire to burn for all eternity. Every person whose name wasn't found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

By the time the 1000 years have passsed and all the wicked men have been thrown into Hell, God destroys Earth, creates a new Earth and sends Jesus there to build the new Jerusalem, an endless and supremely holy city of gold. All the good people in Heaven are sent there with Jesus and given PHYSICAL bodies, except they never get tired, can fly and don't have to poop. You consume only the most delicious fruits in this new Earth, no meat. Your body is free from sin too.

So the afterlife according to the Bible involves having a physical body after Jesus builds the New Jerusalem on the second Earth. Not worshipping God for all eternity as a spirit. The only time you will praise God in the new Earth is every sunday morning, and you'll be happy to because your life is so blissful. You will have a home on New Jerusalem and a second home in the Kingdom of God in Heaven itself. You'll also be able to explore the universe freely and spread the word of God in every planet. You'll preach to the ayys.
