Popularity is a broken mechanic for everybody in the game though. I main Byakuren and I'm able to beat Reimu players. I've had some actual bugs where spell cards don't do anything to Reimu even though they hit. Reimu seems to have some pretty bad frames on a lot of her moves though, except for her 5B which hits on both sides for whatever fucking reason.

Trust me, Reimu isnt as bad as you think she is. As a Byakuren player I basically have everything against me, but I still manage to win almost all my matches.
