I'll get my thoughts on a manga reboot out there just because. As much as I'd like for all the supplementary material to make better sense in the manga canon, after how mishandled RM0 was I do not trust Peach-Pit if they did that anytime soon. I think I'd prefer some of AU story mostly detached from the canon they've created so far which is honestly what they should have done with RM0 because of how much it broke the canon and has little to do with the greater narrative of the series.

As far as anime goes, I think they're best off trying to adapt the original manga and fix up some inconsistencies with the early chapters (where DID that ability Shinku/Gin had to bring toys to life go off to?). Plus there's a ton of other material to adapt if it got popular again. It would make me a happy soul if they threw in references to the lightnovels and RM0 too.
