I can't believe the thread has gotten this far without mentioning it...

Japan has made a game about classical music Eternal Sonata. Hell, you even get add Chopin as a member of your party. With an excellent top hat.

Japan loves Classical music - it takes skill and grace to play. Look for examples in pop culture - they have an especially prominent love for the following songs

Pachabel's Canon in D Minor
Chopin's Revolution
Beethoven's 5th

These come up really quite often in anime. There's even a game called Eternal Sonata, that's practically based on the concept of classical music! Chopin (Yes, the composer. Frederick Francois Chopin) is a playable character!
