The question in this thread obviously assumes that the Youkai and the Human both love each other and that the Youkai girl won't want to harm the Human she is marrying, and actually wants to be with him.

Youkai are also prohibited from harming Humans native to the Human Village, but so such rule exists for Humans that happen to find their way into Gensokyo from the outside.

If our Human is from the Human Village, he would be relatively safe from other Youkai. The Humans of Gensokyo are speculated to generally have some level of ability, possibly even be stronger on average than the typical low-level Youkai. Of course, the average Human is extremely weak when compared to more notable Youkai (Like stage bosses, even weak ones.) Remember, there are countless low-level Youkai in Gensokyo that go unnamed.

If our Human is from the outside world, his life would probably be in greater danger. I personally feel like most sentient Youkai have enough self restraint and morality to not eat Humans anymore, given that they live in Gensokyo and don't eat them anyway, due to the rules they live by. So why would they randomly desire to eat that one outside world Human? I just don't see these intelligent, long-lived Youkai girls eating the flesh of another sentient being, despite their 'nature.' Fans often depict the Youkai of Gensokyo as these evil, ravaging beasts with no self control or morality. I just don't see it. If that were the case, they would be going on killing sprees all day long, instead of reading books, hanging out at home setting up silly pranks, etc. I would like to see a canonical source that the Youkai of Gensokyo desire to slaughter and eat Humans. There are exceptions, though, like Rumia, who wants to 'attack' humans. But does she really want to eat them? Our outside world Human would probably want to be wary of Gensokyo's wildlife, though I am not well versed on how dangerous the wildlife is.

As for how a Human-Youkai marriage would be viewed, it is difficult to predict with a lack of understanding on the politics of the Human Village. We have characters like Rinnosuke, who are half Human half Youkai. Rinnosuke lived in the Human village for a time, working as an apprentice under Marisa's father at the Kirisame second-hand shop in the Human Village. This proves that half-Human half-Youkai are tolerated, at worst, in the human village. As for how the humans see the relationship itself, I feel like it would vary from person to person. Some would approve, thinking that love is love. Some would not, seeing the relationship as unnatural. I doubt that the Human would be banished from the Village, though some relationships may be soured. Would the Humans allow the Youkai wife to move into the Village? Possibly, if she is very well controlled and mild mannered. The Human Village gets Youkai visitors all the time, and no one bats an eye. Though, there would be some who would be quite vocal against a Youkai *living* in the village long term.

How would the other Youkai view the relationship? I feel like most wouldn't care. Most Youkai are self-centered, and probably don't care what the other Youkai are doing, so long as it doesn't affect them. They would have opinions, but I'm unsure if any would care enough to act on them.
