It's just frustrating, I'm less angry at Satoko and Rika themselves in the manga than I was for Sotsu, but Meguri is still saddled with Gou's core plot, so it's not like THAT much could really change beyond changing how things are resolved in the end(which in all fairness is important.)
But yeah, the anime did not have a very compelling Satoko vs Rika looper story, and the manga's set up for their conflict isn't much better. Although I guess the manga doesn't feel like character assassination. We'll see how it ends up
