i'm working on this little scanlation thing and i'd like to share a little speedbump i came across in the process
>background info is that the guy and girl just fought a monster together
>a cake which the guy made for the girl was ruined during the battle
the next line is: お安い御用、(girl's name)
i was very tempted to translate it to "well, that's a piece of cake" in italics as a pun, but the guy in question is a very straightforward and literal kind of character who wouldn't make a joke like this (not at this stage of character development anyway)

i checked myself. was close to mistranslating and adding another layer of characterization onto the guy which wasn't there in the first place. but it could have been so good.
