She seems like the kind of girl who'd appear confident on the outside, but secretly care a lot about your approval and compliments. Kind of like Sakuya, but confident and expressive instead of cool and elegant and the polar opposite of Youmu who'd be reduced to a blushing, stuttering mess for even the slightest compliment.

Youmu and Sakuya both became playable the very next game after the ones where they were introduced in. Sanae had to wait a game, though she was still an ex-midboss in SA. Youmu's appearance in 17 ends her absence streak of 3 games that is as long as her previous longest streak of not being in 10, 11 or 12. Sakuya's absence from 17 means that her streak is now 3 games, while her longest before that is 4 (10, 11, 12, 13). Sanae's absence from 17 makes her streak of 2 the longest she's ever had so far.

If there are any patterns here, one of them is that appearances have become harder to predict, but not due to the growing number of characters taking spots from older and more well established characters (Sanae is the last consistent player character to be introduced in MoF which was released over a decade ago), but mainly due to storylines that no longer form longer storylines that run for more than a single game, which made it easier to predict the likely player characters (i.e. Reisen was unlikely to appear in any of the games focused around religion wars, since she wasn't even part of any of the factions).
