Do I try starting from guidelines or do I go straight to drawing the figure or the body a a whole?
From experience, when I tried drawing as a whole I tend to get too focused on one part, and I end up not being able to connect it to anything. Still, this is how I went with mine before.
As for guidelines, I can't do well with them because I tend to end up with insanely thin people as the outcome.
