Surviving 3 sinkings is a more dramatic story. As for the spoiler, I'm trying to look up the naysayers' reasons for denying these cat facts, and they basically have nothing.

Wikipedia claims "there are pictures of two different cats identified as Oskar/Sam" but fails to cite the pictures. I found other websites with a cat picture captioned Unsinkable Sam. It has distinctly different facial coloring than the painting of Unsinkable Sam (painted by a woman who painted other military cats too and appears to be a massive cat autist, who died before Sam died), and the cat has a nametag reading "HMS Amethyst April 1949" indicating the photo was of Simon, another famous sinking survivor from a battle in China. There's a few other photos of Simon on other Unsinkable Sam webpages. Thus, wikipedia's two different cats claim has been debunked.

The next objection is that the conditions were too difficult for rescuing survivors from Bismarck, but more than a hundred humans were rescued, proving it was possible. Besides, low tier grunts doing the actual rescue work would have a big personal incentive to bring a cat aboard if they were having trouble with mice or rats on the ship.

The last objection is that a 252 page book originally published in 1974, written by a sailor whose ship returned to port before Bismark sank, didn't mention the cat. This is supposed to be evidence?
