Making Satoko a character you can understand wouldve been so easy. Eua is the one thatll cause chaos because she's bored. Satokos main motivation is being with Rika. Satoko sucks at school, ok, she knows that and she thinks its the reason why She is losing Rika. So, as soon as she gets the power to change that, she thinks she gained the ability to travel back in time. she makes an effort to study and be smart, maybe even cheat a bit in school.

To Eua, this is the most boring fucking thing she's ever seen. So, because she wants to see some Bullshit happen, she shows Satoko something. A shard where Satoko does succeed at school, easily even. And it doesn't matter one single bit. She still gets mocked, Rika still doesnt spend any time with her, and to make it worse, she still gets into trouble somehow. Eua knows that Shards are infinite, but in this rendition, Satoko doesn't know that. Because Satoko never bothered to ask what her power was, she just assumed that it was going back in time, just like how she assumed that Rika didnt care about her.
