Need tips on how to lube up.

How do i use lube so that my foreskin doesn't doesn't retract when pulling my dick back? When I put more lub at the ona's entrence this issue dissapears however most friction is also lost making it less pleasurable.
Do i simply need to find the right balnace or apply lube differently?
