AKB48 Team 8 members share their honest feelings in the new segment “Right now, I want to ◯◯!” In the sixteenth installment, the participating members are Okabe Rin (Ibaraki Prefecture), Onishi Momoka (Nara Prefecture), Fukuchi Rena (Saga Prefecture), and Terada Misaki (Nagasaki Prefecture).
Today’s theme is “What I would want to do if I won the lottery right now!”

Q: What would Onishi Momoka do if she won the lottery right now?

A: I want to remodel my bath

Onishi: I think I’d put half of it into my savings. With the other half I’d like to do things like buy new clothes, buy delicious food for my friends and family, so i can live a happy life everyday…

----How much money do you think it would be?

Onishi: Uhh… 7 billion yen? If it’s that much I could just play for the rest of my life. Also I want to remodel my bath! I love the bath, I usually spend about an hour in there playing with my phone.

----What sort of remodel?

Onishi: I want to put in a jacuzzi. I’d like to put in a TV… but thinking about it, since I’m always on my phone I don’t really need it. Also a large shower from the ceiling like in big fancy hotels would be fun, I’d like to try that.

----I’ve heard that some Team 8 members take baths together.

Onishi: Yeah. Sometimes I’ll take baths with them.

Okabe: Eh, like at a hotel!? I feel like the water from the shower wouldn’t reach both people. Isn’t it too narrow?

Onishi: Yep, the water doesn’t really reach both. But when I take baths with Wakayama’s Yamamoto Ruka-chan there’s enough steam that it feels normal.

Fukuchi: Eh-- you could just take a bath one after another.

Onishi: Oh, speaking of, this happened before, I was with two other members at a public bath and we heard a woman in the bath saying “Aren’t they from Team 8?”

Terada: (whispering) I definitely couldn’t do that, too embarrassing.

Q: What would Okabe Rin do if she won the lottery right now?

A: I want to start up a television station.

Okabe: If I won about 600 million yen, I’d use half to keep entering the lottery again. Could you say that’s an investment? I want to increase my savings.

Onishi: Someone’s greedy--.

Okabe: With the other half I’d like to start up a television station. I want to film on location in my hometown and show off the greatness of Ibaraki prefecture!

Fukuchi: Any specific locations?

Okabe: There aren’t really any famous places, and lots of nothing but rice fields, although there is the coastline. So I just want to show places to play in a relaxed way. I don’t want there to be lots of talking, just to have the appeal transmitted through the images of playing.

----Everyone in Team 8 really has a strong desire to promote their hometowns, huh.

Okabe: Yeah, I’m always thinking of ways to promote my city.

Onishi: Nara has a lot of good spots to introduce.

Okabe: Ibaraki doesn’t really, so there’s a lot of pressure on me!

Fukuchi: I totally understand, there’s a lot of pressure! Misaki-chan’s Nagasaki also has a lot of tourist spots too.

Terada: Well there’s Huis Ten Bosch… but I actually haven’t ever been…

Q: What would Fukuchi Rena do if she won the lottery right now?

A: Travel overseas

Fukuchi: If I won about 300 million yen, I’d put 100 million into savings and give another 100 million to my parents. With the last 100 million I want to take a really luxurious overseas trip.

Onishi: You could go around the world with that much.

Fukuchi: No, since I don’t want to go alone. My mother really wants to go to New York to see a Broadway show, so I’d like to take her with me.

----When you think of luxury travel, you have to think of luxury cruises.

Fukuchi: That sounds nice. And since I’m 20 now I could spend the trip drinking high quality wine…

Onishi: Aren’t you the party animal!

Fukuchi: (spreading her arms dramatically) I want to act out that “Titanic” scene.

Onishi: With your mom?

Fukuchi: Well, no probably not with my mom…
