Did you guys watch that show about AKB on FujiTV this afternoon? Basically they followed some fanclub type people of Oshima Ryoka and Miyazaki Miho during the lead up to SSK.

It was really eye opening to me. Ryoka's fans had a literal office and a committee that had meetings like pic related. They were all old too (40-65). No young people there. It was quite strange. One or maybe two were women also. Anyways, these guys managed to collect nearly 7000 votes for her for SSK. They had like a sweatshop of people typing the codes into the voting site in this office.

They followed one guy home and he had 3 kids and lived with his mom too. Turns out his wife had died and he's dealing with the pain by supporting Ryoka so much. He even brings his kids to handshakes to meet her. It got a bit weird.

The Myao fan club was way less organized and basically was just one guy who had gotten divorced and has diabetes plus a few young people. He went around to bars and idol goods shops asking to put up flyer about Myao. I can't help but worry about him now that she has scandaled. He eats every meal with pictures of her on the table and his walls are covered with Myao pics.

Basically you are all casuals.
