ahem, allow me to explain why kaki haruka (kakki) is the best:

you see, in this day and age, idols have become somewhat a national treasure of japan. they have this image that they need to keep in order to fit into the system and market themselves well to the general public, not just to otakus. this image is to be like an unobtainable goddess, a royal princess, or at the very least that one pretty girl in your class that you would never have a chance with. and so, this high and mighty image of idols makes them hard to relate to, if at all. HOWEVER with kaki, she is a new breath of fresh air in the idol world. not only is she an idol, but she is also an otaku. she absolutely loves mizuki yamashita and even though theyre in the same group, she is a die hard fan of her. she also doesnt have the celebrity vibe like most idols. she shops at GU (super cheap) and her favorite foods include shrimp and okayu (porridge) not expensive sushi or yakiniku. she also talks and laughs as if she were a childhood friend rather than an idol or even a high school crush. therefore this warm and casual personality provides commonality. on top of this my personal favorite characteristic about her is that she seems to be more of a guy rather than a girl. once again, alluding to how she is an otaku as well as an idol at the same time, she often takes the stance and perspective of a guy looking at the other members as girls. she calls them cute, and wants to go on dates with them, and is kind of like the “boyfriend” character of the 4th gen that all the other members have a crush on. this not only hypes up the other members as idols, but at the same time shows her humility and genuine kindness towards others. i wish nothing but the best for kaki haruka’s success as an idol! ganbatte kakki~! daisuki dayo~!
