/jp/ is otaku culture, not japan/general. Chinese vocaloids are fine, and there is even a dedicated poster for them (who is not here now). It's just that people don't know many Vocaloids outside of the main ones (in japan/western circles).

I judge vocaloid producers by the quality of their songs and not the voicebanks it use, just like I would never judge a musician for using only roland keyboards for example. Unless it's Miku, all songs are better with Miku and the more Miku the better.
