It's because Onidamashi/akashi was literally just Onikakushi and Tsumi mashed into one fragment, so they could basically just copy it. K1 and Rena acted the same in their respective roles for most of it.
Watadamashi was mostly fine because it was literally just a retelling for Watanagashi up until the ending. But Wataakashi would've actually had to explore Mion's character because it wasn't L5 Shion this time and couldn't just retell Meakashi.

But then they tried to retell Meakashi anyway by making Mion do the exact same shit as Shion without most of the motivations of that Shion's past gave her.
