I like it, but while I saw the bittersweet ending clearly coming after episode 7, after the Battler punching Bernkastel, I had some hope for a fragment where Battler remembers and manages to stop the tragedy - a bit like Keichi in Episode 6. I guess the reuinion in the golden land is happy enough, but I found Yasus Suicide in the Occean a bit weird. Yeah, I get it sins and all, but would it not be better for battler forgiving her and accepting that cross together? Kyrie and Rudolf killed all the others, not Yasu. I really liked Ange meating with Battler again, but the cancer shit and him not really accepting her was just pointless drama. Would it not have been clearer, for the "Tragedy strikes, but you need to get trough it" message to have them reunite and together using their assets to do good in the world? I guess my issue is not, that while I liked Higurashis happy ending, the way towards it felt a bit to easy, Uminekos Ending just feels like they deserved better. I really sometimes don't get the japanese.
