I forgot about that. Yeah, but ep. 4 feels less weird to me because Battler doesn't move around much. Ep. 2 has characters going all over the mansion, making up stuff. (Lol, ghost Kanon totally attacked us and killed Kumasawa and Nanjo!!!)

Yasu doesn't know what to do, that's the point. She's just leaving things to fate and epitaph. She hopes Battler will solve the epitaph, come find her and so she could be at her side, but she wouldn't mind if Jessica did or even George did.

Yasu is a bunch of contradictions stuck together, she plans to kill everyone, but she wants to be stopped, she wants to be understood, but she's terrorized of someone finding the truth. She wants to live as a woman, but she desperately can't get rid of Kanon.

That was actually Tohya doing. Not that it absolver her in the end.

Umineko isn't saying Yasu is without fault, she killed herself because of the guilt in the end. She's saying that "This was her life. Her circumstances brought her to this point. Can you understand her hearth?"


I do agree that Yasu/Battler love story is kinda weak however. Yeah, they do spend time as a child, but that's the point. They were ten, and it's not like Battler was on the island all the time.
