i really don't see why you would choose manga over anime with japanese subtitles
it's the same "level" of language but literally everything is read out for you and the pictures move providing additional context, and you can use yomichan without relying on ocr
the only actual argument i've ever seen for manga over jp-subbed anime is that you have to pause >>40698856 but i mean technically you're going to "pause" after every line in a manga too because you won't understand shit right away and there's mpv scripts and shit that pause for you automatically so if you're really that bothered by pressing the space bar you can just use that
