The incident could be a flood caused by youkai that wanted to live in Gensokyo, sea-dwelling youkai. Since ZUN catters so much to tales and other things, the sea-dwellers could be the people from the Dragon Temple of Urashimako's tale. The last boss would be the dragon princess. They would all be pirates and the sea water would be coming from their dragon temple ship.

Moot should just delete this board and make /vn/-visual novel related to any Japanese genre of video games only as this is getting out of hand. Otaku culture is very misleading by the way.

I have a question concerning the Japanese language /jp/. As of now I'm currently trying to memorize Hiragana. I'm 35 characters in. My question is: Should I memorize ALL of the Hiragana/Katakana before attempting to learn spoken Japanese? Or should I start trying to mix in grammar rules and spoken Japanese while I learn Hiragana/Katakana? I'm assuming Kanji is best left until later considering the sheer amount of characters needed to be memorized
