I'm a bit disappointed with OO's custom god system.
The special ability is either a basic spac/spell or an enchantment/trait like "can see invisible stuff", with some limitations (can't use stuff like Wish spell and Absorb enchantments).
Miracles only have four damage-dealing styles (bolt, arrow, ball, meteor) and the possibility of turning single target buffs/debuffs into AoE spells. Custom meteors and AoE debuffs are somewhat interesting (but not very creative), but they have all the limitations of the Praying action (same cooldown as pray, consumes tons of favor).
You can't get treasures (feats) as your second gift, only gems (spacs/spells with a cooldown), but you can get a Wish gem with a 1-year-long cooldown.
CNPCs and custom items (used for servants and artifacts) works normally, but you don't need a custom god to use these features.

I wasn't expecting something crazy like Inari's ninjutsus or Jure's revenge button, but I wanted more than just an excuse to not use Sage's Helm and a free Wish per year. At least Spellmaking have some interesting limitations, like HP costs and after-cast debuffs.
In the end, you either create very weak or very strong god, and in either case you will end up with a very boring god.
