Why is KSM such a huge pile of shit?

>no hispeed locking feature
>interface is ugly and sucks to navigate compared to SDVX
>lasers are awkward and snappy, also way easier to cheese than on SDVX for no good reason
>major timing differences in the community charts
>input gate is slow as shit and can crash your client when it times out

What is this pile of shit? Wouldn't you expect an unofficial game client based off of an arcade game to have a lot useful features the original didn't, and not the other way around? What's keeping them from improving it? Autism? Is Konami breathing down their neck?
