>Govenrment spends billions to arm a military and wage war for corporate interests
>They do this (primarily)so they can continue to be a powerful economic force
>Government spends billions in block grants to states, essentially state welfare
>They do this so each state, regardless of economic situation, doesn't become an unproductive cesspool that damages the other states
>Government spends probably millions on welfare for the disabled, poor, unemployed, elderly etc
>A mere pittance in comparison to the aforementioned
>Prevents the unemployed from creating crime which would cause more societal issues than the meager amounts of money given to them
>The disabled and elderly(deally) do not function as a colossal drain on their family, lowering their families productivity
>Societal balance is bought for small amount of the government's budget
>Capitalists are able to exploit financial systems and generate massive wealth
>Exploit workers globally, exploits to a much lesser level domestically
>Make massive amounts of money
>Pay massive taxes, but not equivalently high to their workers income taxes
>The system continues
