Sudden retirement without any proper announcement is very common, I think way more common than the proper ones. Also we have a lot of girls who don't even last a year, or gone off after just few releases. It's clear that they're contracted for either very short term or per-video basis.
I'm not doubting stories of girl duped into contract that lasted years, or those that need to pay to get out but I don't think that happened to everyone. Even the mighty T-Powers can't prevent their talents quit early and suddenly.
