Kind of reminds me of this guy called Don Rosa. He used to draw Donald Duck cartoons for Disney, didn't have all that many fans or anything, got paid next to nothing like every other Disney cartoonist. I can't remember how, but after like 10 years of drawing cartoons he finds out he has a huge fanbase in Europe. He decides to visit some local cons and the fucking press is there to welcome him. He gets on local tv-news, fans queue for blocks to get their Don Rosa comics signed. Surreal stuff.

I really hope Polka could be our Don Rosa.
