I find the virility of late Spring and Summer to be much cozier, honestly.
It's not like I'm any stranger to the seasons and that it comes as any great shock. But here in the Midwest, once that one storm line comes around that seems to sap the heat out the atmosphere that the sun's shorter cycle can't replenish, it's a gradual, chilling, soggy, gradual decline into the late autumn and the dead of Winter.
Makes my fingers and face bleed from the dryness, makes me need to put on several layers to jog at night without getting frostbit, makes all the lovely sounds of bugs and animals disappear in hibernation or death, etc.
Nothing about it seems "comfy" to me, apart from my home being as comfy as ever.
But I guess if I really hated it that much, I would've moved south for goof rather than moved back.
