/jp/ - Otaku Culture

So far it's a solid 8/10, I just got to where we beat Caleb and the new year starts so I'm pretty far in. But I've resolved to not finish anything that's not a 10/10 for the foreseeable future. So I'm wondering if it got a lot better for you guys or if it's more of the same?
I love the character writing when things are chill, it's very human for the most part, and the storytelling and plot occasionally surprises me with well researched details. However, overall it feels like the large scale plot is developing too slowly, and the serious moments are a bit shallow. I also assume the gameplay elements are present as a crutch/time saving device so ryukishi doesn't need to describe so many fights.
