Well I do think the 7770 can manage, but I really do need a better cpu, so it really all just boils down to i5 vs fx-6200. Obviously the i5 wins in performance and even in performance/$ but whether I would actually utilize its full potential is what bugs me. Maybe I won't today but what about 2-3 years down the road?

Okay, 2 hours spent playing this game and I gotta say my first impression isn't a great one. If combat was the selling point of this game... it's not exactly amazing and impressing to me. Hitbox based combat isn't groundbreaking, and having played dfo/vindictus for a long fucking time makes me appreciate it a lot less. At least in vindictus you can grab things and throw them, grab monsters, use secondary weapons and all kinds of neat shit. That's what made combat interesting. DFO made your fighting style very personal and varied, which is a good attention holder and the monsters threw all kinds of shit at you making fights interesting from day 1.

Here in TERA, monsters don't seem to have critical hitboxes (yet?) so no matter where I shoot em, it hurts all the same way. No tactics here, this in turn makes the game very dps 'n dodge. There's nothing else I can do in a fight other than hit, not get hit or block. Now that's exhilarating for a while (if you're really new to the whole damn thing), then you realize it's pretty boring with nothing else to do but NOT get hit while hitting them. Somebody's gonna have to shed some light about why they think this game's combat system is so amazing. I've seen the videos of "end game". It's literally the same thing with bigger monsters, maybe more people, maybe faggots soloing gigantic things for 10 minutes that stupidly waddle around waiting to be killed and have the agility of a rock. That's interesting? Come on.

Putting combat mechanics out, what's left is that TERA is an open world mmo type game unlike vindick/dfo, now I haven't seen what the mmo side of it is like yet, but right now I'm already getting pretty bored and things don't seem promising.
