その例での「よう」は、「様(よう/さま)＝様子、様態(状況、状態)」の意味だから、
この「よう」を省略したとしても、基本的に意味は変わらない。

「よう」を付けるのは、丁寧(ていねい)な言葉遣いとして使うだけでなく、
その状態の変化を重要視＝わざと「強調」する意味で使う事も多いよ。
