/jp/ isn't going to get fast. If anything, it's getting slower with time.

A severe activity decline occurred during 2013-2014 and from then on it hasn't recovered, the staff simply brought here huge generals (Kancolle and monster girls) that have an insane posting rates, but the rest of the board (ever shrinking, compared with the amount of fucking generals) is slower than it's been for most of the board's history.

But seriously, there are too many generals. Idols were allowed at the beginning because they were few and self-contained, but how many are today? Not to mention those smartphone games, which I can't understand how they are "otaku culture", when the only games allowed on /jp/ have always been arcade, doujin and some MMORPG.

Though the saddest part is that it seems there is little to replace them with... I wonder where everyone from past years went. They sure aren't in the spin-offs. I'd love to have warm discussions with them again...
