I just can't sleep with PC noise beside me. Or any noise at all. I need near-perfect silence or I will get stressed out.
Also, there is a minor issue with electiricity bill.

But I'll try running it tonight or some more days and post some test data.

Interesting and it would make sense, given PD is supposed to use some kind of DHT.
The reason I thought 1 node = 1 IP is because the nodes in those nodelists on the internet are in the same format as the encrypted IP address/port you can make in the PD client. Well, this is not surprising, since both are addresses, but this would imply there are certain "privileged", pre-defined devices that act as nodes or entry points. But the whole point of PD is everything being distributed. According to my understanding this means everybody owns a piece of random hash table and data through unity, thus everybody is a quasi-node. Does this mean I could get my encrypted IP posted in these list? I confuse.

Also, as you had pointed it out 15.000 nodes might seem too many and according to the statistics posted in the thread there are tens of thousands of them. Some more information about the methodology of these surveys would be helpful, but this one:
>1「ノード」とは、ネットワークに接続しているPC等の端末を指す。
seems to mean that 1 node = 1 device.

And there is this whole thing about the system reacting to the constantly changing IPs in the case of most users, which could make it a nightmare to track down files.
