The belief issue doesn't really hurt half-youkai so much since they've got the best of both worlds. The acknowledgement that youkai are real would be enough. For the rest of the real and weaker youkai it could be a problem. Maybe an ending could tackle the idea that an alternative solution could be found to sustain youkai, maybe swing that macguffin demon sword into a power source/engine of fear/cake dispensary that allows nearby (within Gensokyo) youkai to subsist without requiring humans to 100% fear them. That solution that kinda feels like an asspull, but with the amount of OP bullshit 2hus have already and have done I think it could make the best out of a bad situation.

But he came back up somehow and we kept fighting.
I was in a lounge room in front of a TV. On the TV was The Simpsons. I was in a sleep-headed stupor and could barely change the channel, but every channel seemed to be The Simpsons. I said it was the worst cartoon of all, the yellow skin too ugly for me to bear. Another guy in the room picks up the remote and changes the channel to Wim Hof. He was in a swimming pool lifting a weight in the water, he said to imagine a 2D image of your arm doing the reps and growing muscles.
It was April 22, Izanami's birthday. The kitchen was filled with all kinds of different nice dishes, a lot of vegetables/salads that looked nice, that changed into different dishes as I looked around. In the lounge room was a TV playing The Simpsons, but it looked like a grainy Adult Swim cartoon. I changed the channel but every channel was The Simpsons, all grainy and there was always a black object on the screen.
