I can't help but to think it really is, at least from what I've read about the game. It's not like I'm absolutely against action (I wouldn't vote Alt if I was), but a VN needs more than that to appeal me; both muvluv and baldr have mechas which is a plus for me, and the first also has this sacred status in the VN-community (though I'm aware it's probably overrated, but I still want to read it myself).
