It's up to you. GFW was my second-longest Normal 1cc to get (the longest was EoSD just because it was the first game I played from the series and didn't have any experience in the genre) and took me basically three months of daily play, but I'm below average in skill level relative to how long I've been playing.

Regarding Touhou 16, is it more impressive (at least within the demo) to have a LNNN or to capture every spellcard? No matter how hard I try I cannot capture Aunn's first spellcard with Summer Cirno (on Normal) unless I use releases for invincibility purposes.
I'm a scrub who can't play for score but I at least want to punch around my weight as a Normal shitter, so getting whichever of those two is more of a feat on Normal will satisfy me until the full game comes out.

Has anyone here had issues with graphical glitches in Ten Desires? It's very, very minor, but sometimes specific bullets that spawn at the same time will be "cut," like part of the bullet will be further to the left than the rest. It only seems to happen during specific parts of the stage, but it's annoying. I'm not sure if it has to do with my FPS rate (for some reason it always displays as "60.1 FPS") or not.


And to speak about the new game, I'm not too fond of the idea of Cirno being playable. I like Cirno and love GFW even if it's probably Stockholm Syndrome and think a GFW2 would be great, but she really seems too weak to handle an actual incident, unless her Alolan forme gives her a big (but temporary) power upgrade. Aya just seems kind of boring as a pick, and I'm not a fan of Shoot the Bullet so I really hope her "cancel bullets by snapping pictures" isn't a major part of her character. It honestly seems like having either StB Aya or GFW Cirno as the basis for either character's shottypes would break the game, since the difficulty of StB, DS, and GFW are built around those shottypes specifically and not around normal Touhou gameplay.

...huh. I've already made it to Yukari's first survival card. Some of her cards I could capture on my first try. I would've gotten even farther if the Ran spellcard didn't cost me three lives (I didn't understand the gimmick of Ran aiming directly at you in set intervals).

Is the "Yukari is easier than Ran" meme not just a meme? Obviously some cards of hers are harder but her version of cards like Charming Siege and Princess Tenko feel much easier to me.

I almost got that second 1cc on TD (only lost because I wasn't bombing).

Then I realized you get extra trance by being pixels within the boss's hitbox and firing unfocused.

Now I can't get past Stage 2 because I feel a deep shame for not trying to abuse this.

Also none of the other TD shottypes feel nearly as good as Youmu's, so I'm just not feeling as fulfilled in general playing. Youmu's shottype is pure sex in this game.

This argument is sort of pointless as ZUN has neither confirmed nor denied if the fairies die on-stage. It's like how technically, Mokou is breaking the rules whenever she uses the card that kills herself assuming that they're literally doing that, and the spellcard rules don't strictly cover fairies themselves, them not being human and all.

In other words:
