I thought the angels were fully aware of what monsters have become, but to them, that makes it WORSE.
The kill-humans monsters had a place in the Chief God's plan: they were population control, the yin to the yang of a balanced universe. Now that the new demon lord has UN-balanced the equation, the angels are more mad at monsters for breaking the rules of the universe than they ever were mad about monsters killing humans.
In previous ages, monsters were a necessary evil. Now they're an existential threat to the cosmic order.
