What kind of anime and manga does Beato like?

So Episode 6 said that Yasu gave Beato blonde hair and blue eyes because that's what Battler said he liked

Episode 7 said that Beato didn't have those features until she saw the painting.

So which is it?

Your hourly reminder that Knox and Van Dine don't apply to Umineko and Higurashi as stories. Umineko is literally a story about love in which mystery is described as a loving relationship between the author and the reader, whereas Van Dine's rules seek to cut love out of the mystery.

So far in this thread I have argued for and against every point as well as argued for Satoko being better than Rika as well as vice-versa.
All is in the name of guiding the thread down the right path.

No, I really want to become a mystery writer instead. I have much more fun creating impossible murder situations and thinking of interesting characters that drive the story. It really is my dream to become a published murder mystery writer.

Make up a locked room. Then figure out how it could be done. Did the killer escape? Is the killer still in there? Did the victim commit suicide? Was the murder witnessed by many, but was it simply an illusion. The possibilities are endless!

If you're committed to this, grab a pen and paper and start brainstorming. It's how I started.
I'm not forcing you, I'm perfectly happy to provide my own mysteries, but I hate hearing people say they don't have the skill. Hone it, like I did. And I'm still miles upon fucking miles away from getting something actually published. I'm a fucking amateur. And so are you. So start writing.

Just do what I do and write mysteries for these threads using the Umineko setting and characters. You guys think I'm doing you a favour or something by playing a nice parlour game but in reality I'm just testing out mysteries and gauging reactions and solutions anons come up with to see if they're good enough to be in my own novel.
