By the way, I heard Arcade is dying out in Japan because it's probably overshadowed by other platformers including mobile games. Do they still make shmup arcade cabinets for new shmups in japan?

Poor wording I'd say. Not saying any companies do it for profit, but to give you an idea, selling your game at a doujin convention like comiket isn't going to net you big profits. At the very best, its a bit of a bonus to make some money along with the love you put into your game.

These guys are just completely in the wrong since they're trying to go into international markets with their stuff. This may not seem like that big of an issue, but just imagine the first touhou game to be officially released overseas to something big like steam. ZUN's issue with games like this being released on steam is the same reason he doesn't want an anime. He wants people to know exactly what the source is. These guys insist that he's wrong and want to release their thing to steam and even the Wii U apparently.

Showing off an upcoming doujin game with a trailer or two is fine. When that turns into crowdfunding and getting it on somewhere like steam where not even the canon games are on, thats where the issue begins.

It doesn't help that their game looks extremely uninspired in terms of art (ripped Sims sprites from what I hear, and they look awful) and poorly remixed touhou music(one of the songs for the trailer mixed sakuya's theme with some song you hear on the radio. Aviicii - Levels).

Its one thing to make a shitty game. Its worse when you can't properly act as a professional group in terms of understanding what you need to and how to not be retarded with your PR. The Slaughtering Grounds is a perfect example of this.
