I'm in a good mood, and took my time with the album but I'm not holding back so get ready to fight me/block me.


Road of Resistance 4/10. Originally 6/10 for being original and experimental at the time but then -2 for being overplayed and re-released
Karate 3/10. Had some potential, if it had been just a heavy song instead of whoarock it would have saved the lack of fun and the attempt at being epic and serious
Awadama Fever. 10/10 CHEW CHEW CHEWING GUM OH YAY
YAVA! 6/10. A good radio rock song, and I mean that as a compliment. The ska and metal parts felt shoehorned though.
Amore 9/10 Feels like a Sakura Gakuin Speed Metal song. Would have liked Yui & Moa on it though.
Meta Taro. 0/10 Literally everything about this song is wrong. For their sake I hope that they don't play it live at festivals, it feels very forced and disingenuous and likely to trigger the folk metal fags.
From Dusk Til Dawn 9/10. Very spacey and epic in the right way, this is the kind of whoarock I can get behind. Minus 1 for English lyrics, 10/10 if Su can actually hit all those notes live.
GJ! 9/10. This is proper metal and not arenawhoa dad rock. Could have used more pop and fun as always but I'll take it for what it is
Sis Anger 8.5/10. Again no fun and the vocal delivery/pace is awkward and annoying for the most part but at least it's extremely heavy metal.
No Rain No Rainbow whatever/10. heard it so many times before... 2 dadrocks/10 let's say
Tale of the Destinies 3/10. First 30 seconds sounded like some dillinger escape plan* riff and gave me hope but then it turned into a JRPG victory battle music theme and then the nainainainainais happened and Su got all epic and then some speed metal happened and the song kept falling apart some more, and here's some jazz piano and synths because fuck you. They should a picked one of those things and stuck with it. The biggest uncohesive mess of a song ever from Babymetal

and generally speaking wasn't too pleased with Mr. Growls being featured on the album again, more than a few songs were oversaturated with synths and autotune and 7 layers of backing vocals, but was pleasantly surprised with the quality of some the songs that were either leaked or just played live.

Overall if you add up each track, the score for the album would be 6/10 but I have to compare it to their first album and give it a generous 4/10 because while their first album was nearly flawless and a joy from start to finish, this is what it is. I was pleasantly surprised to hear that not every song was dadrock at the very least. Thanks for reading my blog.

Also, was this actually 320 kbps? I'm listening on my headphones and thought this was 256, I thought I heard some muffled sounds and some minor distortion, but I checked it out and it says it's 320 kbps. it is a press release after all so maybe they ripped it from an unfinished master.
