>what about native speakers? do they know all readings?
they are all borderline analphabets even after going to and finishing college after 18 years of non-stop studying and drilling. a nip can have a superior IQ of 125+ and still fucking suck at Nihonogo.

Japanese is one of the most retarded languages in the world because it is a modified clusterfuck Lego set built on 1000+ year old Chinkaboo sentiment for subhuman dog eating insectoids. Honestly, what were those god damn island monkeys thinking?

I used to be like any other optimistic weeb, who, one day decided to learn this shit because of my deep weeb respect for their retarded, repressive commie-like culture, their obscene sex deviation, their quirky mangos and because I wanted to play those niche nip jrpgs on my ps2 and feel really hardcore.
It started out all fine and dandy. I had the kana down in less than a week. Easy-peasy I thought. You are gonna blaze through this shit and 海賊王に俺はなる.
Then came the kanji. 木. Hey, a tree! 山. Hey, a mountain! Heck yeah, this is easy! The characters even sort of looks like trees and mountains.

*RECORD SCRATCH*

Wait a minute... This isn't tennis! This is anal sex!!

And that's how I learned that for everything you were supposed to learn, you had to learn at least twice as much. So you either drop it now, or you accept it for what it is and just mind numbingly brute force your way through hell. Because once you decide to learn this retarded language you don't just drop it after 1-2 years, since everything you did up to that point is like flushing a turd down the shitter.

DO.NO.LEARN.JAPANESE. unless you swore an oath on your own life to see it through to the bitter end of learning at least 20k words, 10k kanji and their respective on and kun readings.

As experienced learners, what would you say is the hardest part about teaching yourself Japanese?
