Ran is smarter than she lets on. Mind you she still has no clue what Yukari is talking about at any given time, but she saves face by saying that Yukari is simply too smart to understand. She says as much to Aya in her interview. Yukari is incomprehensible, but it's better for everyone if people see this in a good light. In reality, Ran is afraid of being hit again if she implies anything bad about Yukari, so of course she would be waxing poetically about how good and cool Yukari is.
Unfortunately for Yukari's public image, nobody buys it. As Aya put it, Yukari's "words are completely illogical nonsense which any normal person would have difficulty understanding."

Most of the little fics have shown that when it comes to someone Anon knows and was friends with that he was able to let a bit of real emotions come to the surface and express himself. With Ran he's able to let himself feel happy again before suppressing everything again for hours on end.

Even his reaction to being brutalized by presumably yuuka and maybe even more malicious oni like in the Takane story show a very unhealthy amount of restraint. Anon is basically a ruined husk at this point even with the occasional smile and comfort he gets from Marisa, Ran, and Even Aya. No man should be able to entirely block out getting that tortured and mauled then go straight into pitying the people that have to clean it up and help keep him contained.

This isn't much a surprise given both canon and fanon characterization. At her best she's just negligent and lazy. Her response when she found out Ran got her ass kicked in PCB was mild surprise before she back to bed.
