i think you're right but mainly because of the ego thing. however, being her own singer/songwriter would stroke her ego too.. if say, koba gave her creative freedom in babymetal then i could totally see her going all in with it.

also here's a theory: yui has no cope for babymetal. moa has her idol friends that she hangs out with in secret, su's lot in babymetal isn't terrible. but what does yui have to look forwards to? she can't even go to the bathroom in peace and she's to agreeable to do anything about it.
