First time posting here so I don't know if lengthy posts are a thing. But Wew boy that was fucking intense ride, but I honestly have no idea how I got the bad ending though. I used zero continues and did normal mode, it did let me save a replay though oddly enough. I was just under the impression that Sakuya's team fights Elrin rather than Kaguya, weird. Either way I'm just glad I can clear the game with Sakuya, I usually play as her but IN was the exception until now because Remi's focus was rather unwieldy to use but you get use to it. Revisiting IN was pretty awesome and made me realize it's easily one of the best Touhou games, defeintly top 3.

I did make the Mistake of playing on MIDI mode and boy that was something else, fucking Eirin's theme was butchered, could that have caused the bug? Another thing I want to say is do not play when you're tilted, difference between playing Touhou with a calm mind and a colluded one is night and day, makes all the difference between reaching the final boss with 5 lives and dying at stage 1-2 constantly.
