Jokes aside, I think tons of people actually feel that way about someone or something, they just don't realize it. In the worst case scenario, treating someone really nicely is usually beneficial to you one way or another. Do it enough times for purely selfish gains and you'll eventually get a taste for doing it just because it feels good, I think.

Some people even genuinely live out their lives with that mindset as their number one priority, which boggles the mind. I need -something- to be bitter towards at times to cleanse my palate. Humor would be so much more boring if you were a goody two shoes that catered towards literally everyone. And being selfish is very relaxing from time to time.
