So, is this show's poor quality entirely Maeda's fault, or is there more wrong with it than the shitty writing?
I really enjoyed all of Key's stuff and was anticipating this more than any show for a while as soon as I heard Jun's name attached, but after six episodes I'm left scratching my head at what went wrong.
None of the characters are interesting or engaging, save for Tenshi in the latest episode maybe, the setting is decent in paper but has been executed poorly, the OST's alright for the most part, but the Haruhi-esque concert scenes are as ridiculously out of place as the sudden morose 'back-story flashbacks'. I really wanted to like this show and have let a lot of stuff slide, but now the terrible quality really hitting home.

Maybe Maeda should just stick to VNs; anime is perhaps too different a medium for him to write for?
