My memory from NEET days is that you can live with very little as long as you have money for two things

On everything else you can cut so much its unreal. Naturally I should include 3rd must have above which is food, but you can starve yourself instead of cutting computer usage so its only a necessary to stay alive, not to ''enjoy'' your NEETdom.

If you live in Finland for example you can easily live with 1000-1200€ that you get from government each month and cut expenses to save enough to visit Japan once a year.
